About Us

At Inhale Exhale Massage Therapy we believe connection is a powerful healing tool.

Connection is our mission. We understand the importance all types of positive connection play in our overall health and healing.

  • Physical connection such as massage therapy and acupuncture
  • Spiritual connection such as reiki
  • Emotional connection to one another through community
  • Connection to oneself through self-care

Our goal is to inspire these connections to evoke positive change and community restoration.

OUR FOUNDER

Janine Gotzke (she/her) Founder, RMT, Educator, Doula

Janine graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Mount Royal University in 2004. She practiced in a wide range of clinics before settling into the idea of opening Inhale Exhale Massage Therapy Clinic which started in her home in 2009. The clinic moved on to open a new location in 2015 in the neighbourhood of Marda Loop.

Using the knowledge that she’s gained from her 20+ years of work experience she has created a clinic that is focused on inspiring connection between people to enhance individual healing and community restoration.

Janine remains passionate and active in the massage therapy field through teaching at various institutions including Mount Royal CollegeMaKami College  and Seminars for Health and is a member of the Massage Therapy association of Alberta

She loves mentoring budding Therapists and helping them along their journey to honing their craft and growing their specializations.

When away from the clinic, Janine enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog and a whole lot of fish.

Her main goal as a massage therapist is to support people’s inherent ability to heal themselves. “Massage is a perfect blend of physical soft tissue manipulation while holding space for the nervous system to relax and destress, allowing the body, mind and spirit to come into balance.”

Alison Wall

Alison graduated from Mount Royal University in 2011. She has been a member of NHPC since graduation. She likes to incorporate a kinetic style of massage combining relaxation, therapeutic and stretching techniques to alleviate pain and tension into each of her treatments.

Alison has expanded her knowledge by taking courses in myofascial decompression, TMJ, Prenatal and postnatal certification.

She has always enjoyed working with her hands. Once she partook in a 12 week course in Shiatsu in the UK and she knew that massage was for her.

Alison is a busy mom of 3 boys. When she has time, she enjoys reading, listening to music and playing video games.

Kathleen(Kat) Tucker

Kat believes in the power of a body that feels safe. Her approach is one of curiosity, compassion and gentleness. Her personal struggles with chronic pain and trauma first led her to teaching Myofascial Yoga, then to becoming trained in Hakomi (Somatic Psychotherapy Modality) and eventually to practice Massage Therapy. She incorporates the nervous system’s state into treatments, in order to remind the body of its inherent draw towards wholeness. No matter what you might be dealing with in your life, she offers a place to land and breathe deeply. She practices Relaxation, Therapeutic, Functional Deep Tissue, Cupping, and Myofascial Techniques. All her treatments are Client led and Trauma Informed. She aims to cultivate safety in the treatment room as well as in the tissues she treats.
